Your Elegance, Our Dedication
12 plots of land, each with a minimum of 5 acres, located in a significant conservation area. This architecturally controlled integrated project substantially reduces its impact on the environment, preserving the natural and bucolic surroundings of the region.
We are currently experiencing a Great Rural Exodus.
Rural regions have been booming in recent years, thanks in part to remote work opportunities. Working from home while enjoying a vast and peaceful natural environment has become increasingly popular among families.
The Gated Community of Ivry-sur-le-Lac
offers numerous exclusive benefits and a lifestyle in harmony with nature. Not only is the village of Ivry renowned for its stunning landscapes, lakes, mountains, and forests, but it also provides a variety of outdoor activities for all seasons, including fishing, swimming, boating, hiking, snowshoeing, skiing, and snowboarding. Being part of this gated community also grants access to the beautiful Lac Manitou, in addition to being close to the linear park of P’tit train du nord and the grand and unique Trans-Canadian Trail. Moreover, the legendary cross-country skiing trail known as Nantel or Jackrabbit is integrated into the project (a portion ceded to the city), making it accessible right from your home.
Near all essential services
including hospitals and schools, Ivry-sur-le-lac is just a few minutes’ drive from the heart of Sainte-Agathe city, 1.5 hours from Montreal, and 1 hour from Laval.
A bit of history...
– Lac Manitou : This large H-shaped lake, one of the most popular in the Laurentians, is characterized by its numerous bays and extensive shores.
Since 1852, people have settled on the shores of Lac Manitou, near Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts and Sainte-Faustin, attracted by its beauty. Countess Ogier d’Ivry, originally from Le Mans (France), bought the Manitou farm in 1891 to settle her son, Viscount Raoul Ogier d’Ivry, whose name was used to identify the municipality established in 1912 after separating from the parishes of Sainte-Agathe and Saint-Faustin.
Ivry-sur-Seine identifies a municipality in Val-de-Marne, in the Parisian suburbs.

About Jackrabbit.
– Jackrabbit and the Nantel (Maple Leaf) trail : For Norwegian Herman Smith-Johannsen, skiing was a way of life, a means of moving around the Pays-d’en-Haut in Quebec, his adopted homeland.
He started skiing at the age of 2 and was still skiing at the age of 100. Herman became a mechanical engineer and settled in Cleveland, USA, in 1899. His employer assigned him to sell heavy machinery in northern Ontario, where he met the Cree people, giving rise to his nickname Jackrabbit, “the one who runs as fast as a hare.” In 1928-1929, he moved to Montreal, but the economic crisis brought him to ruin. He then rented a house in Shawbridge (Prévost) and declared himself a “ski engineer,” offering lessons, supervising the construction of ski jumps, and leading excursions.
Jackrabbit arrived in the Laurentians at an opportune time: skiing had become so popular that snow trains (weekend services from Montreal to the Laurentians) were established in 1928. At the same time, local hoteliers and the Canadian Pacific railway expressed a desire to connect the trails used by Indigenous people and foresters. Herman Smith-Johannsen thus linked 90 km of trails, and it was during this time that he learned to speak French, as he needed to convince farmers to allow him to pass through their land.
The Laurentians region is known as the “birthplace of skiing” in North America due to the richness of its history and some of the oldest ski areas in Canada. Much of its success is owed to the Maple Leaf trail (which forms the main section of the Nantel trail) and the man who cleared it. Without Jackrabbit’s contribution, the incredible network of 128 km of trails connecting the villages from Labelle to Shawbridge wouldn’t exist today.
In 1967, Herman Smith-Johannsen, with skis on his feet, attended the inauguration of the cross-country ski trail when he was 93 years old. The legend of Jackrabbit was born at that moment, and in 1975, on his centenary, he became an icon.
